2012 IGFA Offshore World Championship Day Three Results.

Day three of the IGFA Offshore World Championship was a different sort of fishing day for Cabo. The winds have been blowing out of the west and have now shifted more southwest and supposedly tomorrow from the south. And in the last few days the fog was mostly on the Pacific side of the peninsula where the cold water was.But his morning there was fog on the Cortez side of the peninsula. Now with the winds blowing more southwest the cold water is going up the Cortez coast and pushing the warmer water farther north. That means the fishing is shifting further north.

So that being said the days fishing was still good, but the catching wasn't great. Lots of wind and rough seas made it hard to fish. Still 105 fish were released.

One team still is catching lots of fish. It doesn't seem to matter what the conditions are. And for day three 2010 IGFA Offshore World Champions were the top, followed by Open Pesca Altura Port Torredembarra and then Herbie Paul International Festival.

So the standings after three days of fishing are 2010 IGFA Offshore World Champions, Master Dolphins Fisherman, and then 7th Campeonato Int de Pesca Gross de Portimao. With only one day left in the fishing and the forecast for southerly winds, tomorrow will be the final test for all the teams. Good luck to all the fishermen.
